Mobile Solutions’ OEM Integration Training Gets You Up To Speed!

TEMPE, ARIZ., It’s no secret that today’s vehicles present challenges to technicians that simply did not exist several years ago. Mobile Solutions offers professional technicians a 2-day OEM Integration training program to keep the door of upgrading audio systems wide open. The training runs Sunday and Monday to minimize down time for the retailer having staff away from the store.

The very first OEM Integration of 2007 session had two of Mobile Electronics Magazine’s top 12 Installer of the Year candidates among other experienced, well respected technicians.

“Very impressed overall and I think it was a great course,” said Pete Riker of The Specialist’s in Tucson, Ariz. Pete immediately was able to identify some subtle, but important tricks to add to the already fantastic job they are doing at his store every day.

Top 12 Installer Micah Williams of Audio Specialists in Hopkinsville, Ky. commented, “I really liked the professional instruction and the camaraderie with other colleagues in a format where there is something for everyone to learn. After all, these cars are not getting any easier!” Williams and Audio Specialists owner Rob Bess made the trip out to Tempe, Ariz. for the training which underscores the commitment a true specialist retailer really has toward continuing to learn.

“We are really focusing on getting technicians to think differently about how they approach these challenges,” explained Mobile Solutions founder Bryan Schmitt. The 2-day OEM Integration training has many techniques involving both the electrical measurement challenges as well as cosmetic integration with a focus on integrating with plastics. It’s just another way to differentiate a retailer’s skills as a specialist.

Todd Ramsey of Ramsey Consulting Group, Inc., co-developer of the OEM Integration training program, commented on the affiliation with the Mobile Solutions training. “Our strength as a team is that we are all from different
disciplines and the professionals who attend really get a broader range of knowledge than any one trainer could provide.”

Jason Sayen, an area sales director with JL Audio, added, “Todd and Bryan are teaching the steps and techniques that our retailers need to continue to be successful in the 12 Volt industry. By attending this training, you will learn the skills necessary to integrate better sound into any of these new and challenging vehicles. On top of the incredible troubleshooting and OEM integration electrical knowledge you will learn, Bryan will show you some of the latest techniques on how to cosmetically integrate into vehicles from a custom fabrication standpoint and it will all look completely factory. These guys are amazing!”

Companies such as JL Audio, Rockford Fosgate, Audio Control, Peripheral Electronics, Soundgate Interface, Scosche, PAC, and many others have been instrumental in sharing their products to further illustrate applications in which the techniques taught in the OEM Integration training course can apply in the real world.

“Today’s mobile electronics specialists need to have a thorough understanding of what car manufacturers are doing and how they can best interface aftermarket autosound components,” remarked Chris Kane, national sales manager for Audio Control. “Todd and Bryan teach real life OEM integration skills that are necessary for specialist retailers to remain competitive in their markets.”

OEM Integration training sessions continue throughout 2007 in Mobile Solutions’ Tempe, Ariz. training center. Visit www.mobilesolutions-usa.com or call (888) 480-5959 for more information and schedules of upcoming training.
