LAS VEGAS, Nev., Jan. 7, 2008 — Phoenix Gold (www.phoenixgold.com), a division of Rodin, is proud to announce that its limited edition Roadster 66 amplifier is now shipping and will be featured during the 2008 CES Show, held from Jan. 7-10 at the Las Vegas Convention Center, booth #2418 (North Hall). The new Roadster amp is a 5-channel, 1,000 watt powerhouse with a limited build quantity and a suggested retail price of $1,299.99.

“Built in the tradition of the original Phoenix Gold Route 66 amp, our new Roadster amp is designed with modern state-of-the-art technologies, performance and aesthetics which will once again bring pride of ownership to today’s 12 Volt enthusiast,” explained Stewart Millager, Phoenix Gold director of engineering.

Phoenix Gold was the first to create the concept of limited edition car amplifiers, and it is continuing the tradition with the new Limited Edition Roadster 66 amplifier. With a limited build quantity, only authorized Phoenix Gold RSD dealers may sell the new Roadster 66 amplifier.

The Limited Edition Roadster 66 amplifier features RSD amplifier technologies and the classic intelligent, symmetrical circuit board layout that has been a Phoenix Gold hallmark since its inception. Key features of the Limited Edition Roadster 66 amplifier include:
•    Poly-film box capacitors and 1 percent precision metal film resistors installed in signal path for predictable, low noise, linear operation
•    On-board protection circuitry monitors abnormal conditions such as voltage spikes, over-current conditions and thermal problems
•    IRFZ44 Power Supply MOSFETS; cool, reliable power control
•    Massive Heatsink; unique, custom tooled aluminum anodized design for optimum cooling and an aggressive look

•    AUX Outputs; the amplifier’s full-range line outputs can be used to feed signals to another amplifier for future expansion or for setting up a more sophisticated system
•    Wide Range Input Sensitivity Adjustment can be easily varied from as low as 200 mV to as high as 8.5 volts by adjusting the control on the input panel
•    Variable Bass Boost will increase the output centered at 45Hz from 0 to 18dB
•    Robust power device clamp bars; secure mounting for effective cooling and long life
•    Premium circuit board construction; double-sided board with plated-through holes and glass-epoxy substrate…proven performance for high-power circuitry

The 4-channel Class A/B amplifier features Triple Darlington Power Amplifier Stages with complimentary bipolar output transistors.
•    High current, low distortion drive for complex real-world speaker loads
•    Built-in electronic crossover; 18dB per octave electronic crossovers that can be configured for full range, high-pass or low-pass application
•    Dual power supply design; efficient, low-loss power conversion

The subwoofer amplifier features:
•    High efficiency Class D amplification; cool running, low frequency amplification to power subwoofers
•    Built-in electronic crossover; 18dB per octave electronic crossover for low-pass and an 18dB per octave subsonic filter
•    Remote low pass level control (LPL); allows up to 20dB of remote volume adjustment
