Registration Opens for MERA KnowledgeFest 2008

Announcing New Platinum Sponsor: HD Radio

Indianapolis, IN: The Mobile Enhancement Retailers Association® (MERA) has announced online registration is now open for MERA KnowledgeFest 2008. The event will be held in downtown Louisville, Kentucky, March 15-18, at the Kentucky International Convention Center.

MERA also welcomes HD Radio as its new platinum sponsor for MERA KnowledgeFest.

“MERA KnowledgeFest is an excellent venue for retailers, manufacturers, distributors and manufacturer representatives to network and learn about new products and technologies,” said Jeff Jury, COO, iBiquity Digital Corporation, the developer of HD Radio(TM) Technology. “We, at iBiquity, are proud to be a sponsor and are enthusiastic about this chance to demonstrate the sales potential of products with HD Radio Technology and the opportunities available by working with local radio stations.”

The cornerstone of MERA KnowledgeFest is its Saturday evening Town Meeting, which will feature the MERA Roadmap to Success, an initiative that not only sets the course for retailers to succeed but also provides the tools they need to navigate it. One of the most critical components of the “Roadmap” is MERA’s marketing, promotion and product cooperative, Mobile Entertainment Source (M.E. Source), a buying group that offers complete solutions for the mobile enhancement specialist, in addition to volume-buying power.

Following the Town Meeting will be the Mobile Electronics Industry Awards, hosted by Mobile Electronics magazine. The agenda will include a special keynote address by MERA, sponsor of the Top 12 Retailers, which will be announced as part of the event.

MERA is also pleased to be delivering 27 new workshops – and numerous others back by popular demand – all designed to lead to “Fewer headaches and more profit.” Owners, managers, sales staff, installers, reps and others can all gain valuable information as these workshops address the most critical issues facing today’s mobile enhancement professionals. For the first time, MERA will be facilitating a “Women’s Roundtable Discussion” for female mobile enhancement professionals in the specialty chain of distribution. And attendees can go to a series of “Acoustics Power Sessions” on March 16-17, 2008, designed to broaden their appreciation for sound quality, looking at it from numerous perspectives within the retail environment.

MERA KnowledgeFest 2008 workshops begin on Sat., March 15 and run through Tues., March 18. Workshop descriptions and other event-related information, including online registration, are available at www.merausa.org/Events/Knowledgefest/08/attendees.asp. MERA welcomes members and non-members to the event, provided the attendee works within the mobile enhancement or automotive aftermarket industry.

Opportunities still exist for exhibiting and sponsorship; interested companies may obtain more information on www.merausa.org/Events/Knowledgefest/08/exhibitors.asp or may call 1-800-949-6372.
